Black Sheep Volume 1 is an artbook created by Umihara Kawase series character designer Toshinobu Kondo and released through his doujin circle Meiyoutei.
With 28 pages including the covers, Black Sheep Volume 1 has a five page section titled Umihara Kawase-san Information Forefront (海腹川背さん 情報最前線), containing sketches of Kawase, including a rough version of what would become the Umihara Kawase Shun Perfect Guide Book cover art.
Other content in Black Sheep Volume 1 includes a section on anime series El-Hazard.
