Title: Finding a copy of Kanzenban?
Post by: Nana on October 20, 2014, 02:39:45 PM
Hey all,

I'm a huge fan of this series, and now that I've 100% completed Sayonara Umihara Kawase, I think it would be nice to be able to play the first two portable as well. I'm having trouble finding out how much it's actually worth, or a good place to buy it though. I'm seeing an average of ~4k ¥ on YAJ and Amazon.co.jp, but any sellers I can get to without a third party (I live in America) are going between $70 (incl shipping) and $150. It's ridiculous.

Can anyone help me out?

I could be misreading the "market", but you should buy it at $70 while you can, it's probably only gonna go up.

Honestly, you're probably right.

Game resellers have been getting extremely ballsy as of late. I've seen random no-name PS1 games jump from $15 average to no less than $80 in the course of a month. All it takes is one guy to list something for an inflated price on ebay, and the rest of the world follows suit.

I appreciate the reply, anyhow.

You could keep an eye out and hope for a cheaper one, but I'd probably just get it at $70 now.  Alternatively you could go for one of the YAJ ones, but depending on shipping costs and however much your chosen third party charges for usage, it might not be worth the trouble in the end.

You're absolutely right about the inflated prices.  A lot of old games are getting massively overpriced.
